Angkrish Raghuvanshi suffered an unusual dismissal against DC after the ball deflected off his glove, shoulder and shoe onto the stumps.
Delhi Capitals received another slice of luck during the ongoing IPL 2026 match against Kolkata Knight Riders after Angkrish Raghuvanshi suffered a bizarre dismissal in the 4th over.
Bowling the 4th ball of the 4th over, DC skipper Axar Patel fired a length ball on middle stump as Raghuvanshi attempted a sweep shot. The batter failed to control the stroke, and the ball first brushed his glove before popping onto his shoulder. It then struck his shoe and slowly rolled back into the stumps.

Raghuvanshi completely lost sight of the ball during the strange sequence and only realised what had happened after the bails flew off. The young KKR batter had to walk back after scoring just 1 run from 3 balls.

Notably, Kolkata Knight Riders had endured another unlucky moment during the chase against Delhi Capitals after captain Ajinkya Rahane suffered a run-out. The incident came after Finn Allen smashed the ball straight back at Mitchell Starc. The pacer managed a slight touch on the ball, which deflected directly onto the non-striker’s stumps before Rahane could react. The KKR skipper had no chance to return to the crease.

In the first innings, Kolkata’s bowlers produced a disciplined effort to restrict Delhi to a modest total of 143. Sunil Narine returned figures of 1/17, while Anukul Roy grabbed 2 wickets during the middle overs. Kartik Tyagi impressed with 2/25 and gave away only 3 runs in the final over.
Pathum Nissanka scored a fighting half-century for DC, while Ashutosh Sharma added 39 runs late in the innings.
