Brydon Carse is likely to miss SRH vs KKR IPL 2026 match due to a hand injury, with David Payne and Eshan Malinga expected to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad’s pace attack.

Brydon Carse will reportedly miss the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) IPL 2026 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to a hand injury during practice. He had also missed the March 28 match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the same reason.

In his absence, David Payne and Eshan Malinga are expected to lead the overseas pace attack. Pat Cummins also remains unavailable for the first half of IPL 2026 due to injury, although he has joined the squad in India.

Sunrisers Hyderabad began IPL 2026 with a 6-wicket defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They scored 201/9 in 20 overs but failed to defend 202. RCB completed the chase in 15.4 overs with 4 wickets lost. Virat Kohli made 69 off 38, while Devdutt Padikkal scored 61 from 26.

Kolkata Knight Riders also lost their opening match on March 29 in Mumbai. They posted 220, but the Mumbai Indians chased 221 in 19.1 overs. Rohit Sharma scored 78 off 38, and Ryan Rickelton hit 81 off 43. SRH and KKR will now face each other on April 2 at Eden Gardens
