CSK Launches IPL 2026 Jersey Starring MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad In ‘Dencoming’ Video

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) unveiled their IPL 2026 jersey through a spy-themed “Dencoming” video featuring MS Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad, which quickly went viral.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made a grand unveiling of their IPL 2026 jersey by releasing a “Dencoming” video that went viral across social media. The nearly four-minute trailer featured MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Sarfaraz Khan, blending nostalgia with the franchise’s popular spirit.

The “CSK Dencoming” series has become a much-awaited tradition for fans. The concept marks the arrival of players in Chennai for pre-season preparations. Over the years, it has grown from simple arrival clips into creative productions. This season, the franchise raised the bar by presenting the jersey launch in the style of a spy thriller.

In the video, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad guides newcomers through a fictional operation at the CSK base. The suspense builds when the team discovers that the jerseys are missing.

The trailer reaches its peak with the reveal of the iconic No. 7 shirt worn by MS Dhoni. The moment sparked widespread excitement, with fans celebrating the continued presence of ‘Thala’ in yellow. Within hours of its release, the video gathered thousands of likes, reposts, and over 200,000 views. Watch the clip below:

Meanwhile, the 44-year-old Dhoni was spotted at the airport wearing a simple maroon T-shirt. Unlike last year’s cryptic “One Last Time” message, which had fuelled retirement speculation, Dhoni stayed silent this time and let his presence speak for itself. CSK’s official social media handles shared visuals of him being welcomed by a sea of yellow-clad supporters.

The CSK pre-season camp began on March 1 at the franchise’s high-performance centre. CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that Dhoni would join from day one. Around 15 Indian players are expected to attend the initial phase of the camp, while those on international duty will link up later.

There are also subtle changes in Dhoni’s preparation for the upcoming season. Known for using one of the heaviest bats in cricket, he has reportedly switched to a lighter 1.23 kg bat to improve bat speed against modern pace attacks.
