The teenage batter continued his dream run in the tournament, smashing a breathtaking 103 off just 37 deliveries, including five fours and 12 towering sixes.

Opening the innings, Sooryavanshi dominated the SRH bowling attack with fearless stroke play and put RR in a commanding position. However, despite his heroics with the bat, the match took a worrying turn when the youngster had to leave the field due to an injury during the second innings.

Vikram Rathour Provides Reassuring Update on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Following the conclusion of the match, Rajasthan Royals assistant coach Vikram Rathour addressed the situation and offered a positive update on the youngster’s condition. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Rathour confirmed that the injury did not appear serious.

“He was feeling something in his hamstring but now he’s looking okay. They’ve treated him, so he’s looking fine. We’ll know in a day or so but doesn’t look like anything serious,” Rathour stated.

How the Injury Unfolded During SRH Chase

The incident occurred just before the start of the fourth over of SRH’s chase. Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag had introduced Nandre Burger for his second over, while Ishan Kishan had just joined Abhishek Sharma following Travis Head’s early dismissal.

Shortly after Jofra Archer completed his over, Sooryavanshi suddenly went down on the field, clutching his hamstring in visible discomfort.

The physio rushed in to attend to the batter, and after initial treatment, he was eventually escorted off the field. The situation appeared concerning in real time, especially given his importance to the Royals’ campaign.
