
The IPL 2026 mega trade list has been revealed and there has been some major swaps and changes between MI, CSK, LSG and RR.
With the IPL 2026 Retention List set to be announced on November 15 at 5:00 PM IST, several high-profile trades have already reshaped the landscape across franchises. Some of the league’s biggest names, including Ravindra Jadeja, Sanju Samson, Sam Curran, Mohammed Shami and others, are set to wear new colours in the upcoming season.
In a dramatic pre-retention window, teams have actively moved to restructure their squads, resulting in multiple notable player swaps.
Ravindra Jadeja joins Rajasthan Royals
Senior all-rounder and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ravindra Jadeja has been traded to Rajasthan Royals (RR). Jadeja, who served CSK for 12 seasons and played more than 250 IPL matches, will join RR with a revised fee reduced from INR 18 crore to INR 14 crore. The move marks a major shift for one of the league’s most seasoned campaigners.

Sanju Samson moves to Chennai Super Kings
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson will now represent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at his existing price of INR 18 crore. Samson, with 177 IPL appearances, will be turning out for only the third franchise of his career. Since debuting in 2013, he has been almost exclusively associated with RR, except in 2016 and 2017 when he played for Delhi Capitals.
Sam Curran traded to Rajasthan Royals
England all-rounder Sam Curran will shift from CSK to RR at his current fee of INR 2.4 crore. The 27-year-old, who has played 64 IPL games, will now feature for his third IPL team, having previously represented Punjab Kings and CSK across different seasons.
Mohd Shami to represent Lucknow Super Giants
Veteran fast bowler Mohd Shami has been traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Shami, who was SRH’s second-most expensive signing ahead of IPL 2025 at INR 10 crore, will carry the same fee to LSG.
The experienced pacer has played 119 IPL matches across five franchises. Before joining SRH, he was a key member of Gujarat Titans, winning the Purple Cap in 2023 with 28 wickets. Despite missing the 2024 season due to injury, Shami had a strong 2023 as well, taking 20 wickets in GT’s title-winning run.
Mayank Markande returns to Mumbai Indians
Leg-spinner Mayank Markande is set for a homecoming, returning to Mumbai Indians (MI) after a trade from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Acquired by KKR for INR 30 lakh, he will join MI at the same fee.
Markande began his IPL career with MI and represented them in 2018, 2019 and 2022, before playing for RR in 2021 and SRH in 2023–24. He has taken 37 wickets in 37 IPL games.
Arjun Tendulkar moves to Lucknow Super Giants
Bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar has been traded to LSG from Mumbai Indians at his existing fee of INR 30 lakh. First picked by MI in the 2021 auction, Arjun made his debut for the franchise in 2023.

Nitish Rana traded to Delhi Capitals
Left-handed batter Nitish Rana will now represent Delhi Capitals (DC) following a trade from Rajasthan Royals (RR). He will continue at his INR 4.2 crore fee, the amount RR paid for him ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. Rana, who has crossed 100 IPL appearances, also captained Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023 during Shreyas Iyer’s injury absence.
Donovan Ferreira returns to Rajasthan Royals
South African all-rounder Donovan Ferreira will return to RR after a trade from DC. His fee has been upgraded from INR 75 lakh to INR 1 crore as part of the transfer agreement.
