Notable Inclusions and Auction Process
Interestingly, 35 new names were added to the final list after franchise consultation. These were not part of the initial longlist shared with teams.
One notable addition is South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock. He was included upon a franchise’s request following his recent international century against India. His base price is set at ₹1 crore. Several Sri Lankan players, including Kusal Perera and Dunith Wellalage, are also new entries.
The auction will start with capped players, grouped by their specialist roles. Big names like Cameron Green, David Miller, and Prithvi Shaw will be presented early. After the first 70 players, the process will move to an accelerated phase to complete the event.
