Kolkata Knight Riders batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out after he suffered a concussion and finger fracture during the match against Mumbai Indians.
Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a major setback after young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi got ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026. The 21-year-old sustained a concussion and fractured a finger on his left hand during KKR’s match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday, May 20.
The injury occurred while Raghuvanshi attempted a catch during the match. KKR later confirmed the development in an official statement and wished the youngster a speedy recovery.

Raghuvanshi’s absence comes as a significant blow for Kolkata during the final stage of the tournament. The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive season, scoring 422 runs in 13 matches at an average of 42.20 and a strike rate of 146.53. He also smashed 5 half-centuries, the most by a KKR batter under 21 in a single IPL season. His highest score came against Gujarat Titans, where he hammered 82 off 44 balls.
KKR now face extra pressure in the playoff race. After defeating Mumbai Indians, Kolkata moved to 6th place with 13 points from 13 matches and a net run rate of +0.011.
