Kolkata finished eighth in IPL 2025 with only 5 wins. The team struggled for consistency in both batting and bowling during that season. Ajinkya Rahane now leads the side as they look for a stronger performance.
The franchise retained 12 players from the previous squad. Kolkata entered the auction with a purse of Rs 64.30 crore. Kolkata spent Rs 63.85 crore to sign 13 players, including 7 Indians and 6 overseas cricketers.
