KKR Survive Late Scare to Defeat MI by Four Wickets at Eden Gardens

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets in IPL 2026 as Manish Pandey and Rovman Powell guided the chase at Eden Gardens.

Kolkata Knight Riders edged past Mumbai Indians by four wickets at Eden Gardens on Wednesday, chasing down a target of 148 with seven balls to spare in an IPL 2026 match.

Mumbai Indians, batting first after losing the toss, were in early trouble at 84 for 5 before a late flourish salvaged some respectability. Corbin Bosch provided the rescue act, smashing an unbeaten 32 off 18 balls with two sixes and three fours, while Hardik Pandya contributed 26 in the middle overs. However, the top order was a tale of wasted promise. Suryakumar Yadav hit 15 off 6 balls before being bowled and Rohit Sharma managed just 15.

Saurabh Dubey and Cameron Green each picked up two wickets to restrict MI to 147 for 8.

In reply, KKR’s chase was built on a calm, measured knock from Manish Pandey, who top-scored with 45 off 33, anchoring the innings through the middle while wickets fell around him. Rovman Powell knocked a punchy 40 off 30 before being dismissed by Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar. Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 21 up top, and though Bumrah tightened the screws in the death, finishing with 1 for 26. Rinku Singh and Anukul Roy kept their nerve to see KKR home in the 19th over.

Corbin Bosch was the pick of MI’s bowlers with 3 for 30, providing the only moments of genuine threat in the chase.
