The issue reportedly surfaced after he showed discomfort and was spotted limping during the March 2026 training sessions.

The absence will affect CSK’s plans at the start of the tournament. CSK begins their campaign on March 30, 2026. They face the Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati at 7:30 PM IST. The team will then return home for their next match. CSK will play Punjab Kings on April 3, 2026, in Chennai.
