Chasing 229, the Mumbai Indians dominated from the start. Ryan Rickelton blasted 83 off 32 balls, hitting 8 sixes and 6 fours at a strike rate of 259. Rohit Sharma scored 84 off 44 with 7 sixes as the pair added 143 in 65 balls.
Tilak Varma made 11 off 13, and Suryakumar Yadav scored 12 off 7. Naman Dhir finished unbeaten on 23 off 12, while Will Jacks added 10 off 4 not out as MI reached 229/4 in 18.4 overs at 12.27. Manimaran Siddharth took 2 wickets, but MI completed the chase comfortably.
