Nurul Hasan Sohan revealed that Mustafizur Rahman remains calm and focused after his IPL 2026 snub, praising the pacer’s performances in the BPL.
Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan has said that Mustafizur Rahman remains composed despite missing out on IPL 2026. Sohan stated that Rahman’s quality needs little validation, given his consistent record over the years. He acknowledged that the IPL setback may have caused some disappointment, but stressed that Rahman is coping well.
“For us, Mustafiz is a world-class bowler. He has been proving that for a long time. Everyone has confidence in him. There is nothing more to say about him, everyone is always impressed,” Sohan said while speaking in the post-match press conference.
“He is relaxed and at ease. At the same time, there may still be some disappointment (regarding the KKR issue). He deserves what he has now and he deserved even more before. But I think he’s doing just fine. Mustafiz might feel bad. He always dreams of giving his best for Bangladesh. To me it seems he is calm,” he added.
Kolkata Knight Riders released Rahman after purchasing him for INR 9.20 crore at the Abu Dhabi mini-auction, following a directive from the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
