PBKS Reveal Retention List and Released Players List Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction

PBKS announces full list of retained and released players ahead of IPL 2026 auction.

With Punjab Kings reaching the IPL final last season, this could be one of the rare occasions when the franchise avoids its usual large-scale squad overhaul.

Before the IPL 2025 mega auction, Punjab had released almost their entire squad, retaining only Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, and entered the auction with one of the biggest purses. They spent aggressively, securing Shreyas Iyer after KKR unexpectedly chose not to retain the captain who had led them to the 2024 title.

The Kings also used their Right to Match card to bring back Arshdeep Singh, ensuring the return of their premier left-arm pacer.
