Priyansh Arya Six Injures Fan During PBKS vs RR IPL 2026 Clash In New Chandigarh, Viral Video Surfaces

An elderly fan was left bloodied after being struck by Priyansh Arya’s six during the PBKS vs RR IPL 2026 match in New Chandigarh.

Punjab Kings batter Priyansh Arya played a quickfire cameo, scoring 29 off just 11 balls, during the IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on April 28.

While his elegant six over extra cover was one of the highlights of his innings, the moment quickly turned concerning as the ball struck an elderly spectator in the stands. The impact left the fan bleeding from the face, turning what was meant to be an entertaining moment into a distressing scene.

Viral Clip Shows Fans Rushing To Help Injured Spectator

A video of the incident soon went viral on social media, showing the elderly man, believed to be in his sixties, holding his face as blood streamed from his nose.

The ball appeared to hit him between the nose and right eye, causing immediate injury. Fellow spectators quickly stepped in to assist, with one fan offering a handkerchief to stop the bleeding. The visuals highlighted both the unfortunate nature of the incident and the prompt support shown by those around him.

PBKS Fall Short Despite Strong Start Against RR

On the field, it turned out to be a disappointing outing for Punjab Kings despite a promising start. Arya, along with Prabhsimran Singh, provided early momentum with a solid opening partnership. However, the innings lost pace after the powerplay, which ultimately hurt their chances.

Rajasthan Royals capitalised on the slowdown, chasing down the target in a tense finish. Donovan Ferreira sealed the victory for RR, guiding his team home with six wickets in hand and four balls to spare in the last-over contest.
