Mumbai Indians suffered another setback in IPL 2026 as Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa were ruled out with hand injuries.

Mumbai Indians is suffering another injury setback in IPL 2026 after Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa have both been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament. The five-time champions had already fallen out of the playoff race before the latest blow.

De Kock picked up a tendon injury in his left wrist ahead of Mumbai’s home clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Bawa suffered a ligament tear in his right thumb.

Mumbai Indians confirmed that both players will continue rehabilitation at their respective homes under the supervision of the franchise’s medical staff. The team also stated that replacements for the injured duo will be announced soon.

MI’s injury problems have continued throughout IPL 2026. Earlier in the season, the franchise also lost Mitchell Starc and Atharva Ankolekar due to injuries. Captain Hardik Pandya also missed recent matches because of back spasms, adding to Mumbai’s difficult campaign.

Currently placed 9th, MI next face Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Wednesday before ending their season against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
