Rajasthan Cricket Association has approached the BCCI to address speculation over Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 venue, assuring Jaipur meets all safety and infrastructure norms.
The Rajasthan Cricket Association has approached the Board of Control for Cricket in India amid talk of a possible home venue change for the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2026. RCA has urged that Jaipur remain the franchise’s base, backing the continued use of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The stadium regularly hosts IPL, domestic, and international matches without major safety concerns. Ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy games across Rajasthan, including in Jaipur, have also drawn large crowds smoothly.
Uncertainty has grown due to administrative challenges, with the RCA operating under a government-appointed ad hoc committee for two years. Reports suggested the Rajasthan Royals explored alternatives, including Pune. The BCCI has not finalised a decision.

In a formal submission to IPL authorities, the RCA said they are ready to address concerns. They also confirmed the venue meets all safety, security, and infrastructure norms. The association then said it was not consulted on any independent review.
In other news, the Maharashtra Cricket Association confirmed visits by the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the MCA International Stadium.
