Ravindra Jadeja opened up on his CSK exit and RR move in IPL 2026, saying the yellow felt old as he embraces pink.
Ravindra Jadeja returned to the Rajasthan Royals after nearly 2 decades since his early rise in the IPL. He played his first match for RR against the Chennai Super Kings, where he spent 12 years.
Jadeja delivered a strong performance, taking 2/18 in 3 overs to restrict CSK to 127. Rajasthan Royals chased 128 comfortably and won by 8 wickets. The all-rounder adjusted quickly to his new franchise and expressed satisfaction with the change. He also acknowledged that leaving CSK after 12-13 years felt emotional at first.
“I’m liking the pink colour. The yellow had started to feel a bit old, but I’m just joking,” Jadeja said while speaking about his CSK to RR move on JioHotstar.
“Obviously, leaving a franchise like CSK, where I had played for 12-13 years, was a little difficult initially. It was very emotional. But I told myself that changes like these are also part of the journey. The good thing was that I’m now with the team where I had first won an IPL title,” he continued.

Jadeja started his IPL journey with RR in 2008 and won the title that season. He now aims to contribute with experience and guide younger players in the squad.
“That memory has always stayed with me, that after the Under-19 World Cup, I started my IPL career there and won the title in my very first season. I have carried those memories along with a positive mindset, and my aim is to learn as much as I can with the new group and also share my experience with the team,” he concluded.
