Rohit Sharma is facing uncertainty ahead of Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans on Monday. The India batter struggled with a hamstring injury sustained during the game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Reports from the Indian Express indicated Rohit Sharma planned to reach Narendra Modi Stadium early for a fitness test. However, typical recovery for such injuries required at least 8 days, reducing his chances of playing.

Rohit had earlier left the field during the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He was batting on 19 when discomfort emerged. He began to limp while running between wickets in the fifth over. He completed a single but required treatment before the next over. Despite returning to strike, he looked uncomfortable and could not continue. He walked back to the dugout soon after.

Notably, Rohit Sharma had also missed the following match against Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium due to the same issue.
