Shreyas Iyer’s funny shoe swap moment is trending online after the PBKS vs LSG match, as the BCCI rule forced the captain to borrow the cameraman’s shoes for the presentation.
Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer grabbed attention after their 54-run win over Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 in Mullanpur. He borrowed shoes from a cameraman before the post-match presentation.
Iyer initially walked around in slippers after the game. BCCI rules do not allow players to attend presentations in slippers or sleeveless jerseys. Violations can attract fines. He realized the issue moments before the ceremony. With little time to return, Shreyas Iyer quickly arranged a nearby cameraman’s shoes at the stadium in New Chandigarh.

In the match, Punjab Kings posted a massive 254/7 after being asked to bat first. Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly built a crucial 182-run stand off 80 balls for the second wicket.
The bowlers backed it up with a disciplined effort. They controlled the middle overs and prevented any strong recovery in the chase. Lucknow never settled and fell short comfortably. With this win, Punjab extended their unbeaten run to 6 matches and climbed to the top with 11 points.
Punjab now gets a 6-day break before facing Delhi Capitals on April 25 in Delhi.
