Tim David Suspended, Admits Offence After Throwing Ice Pack Towards Umpire

BCCI suspended RCB batter Tim David for 1 match after he threw an ice pack towards umpire Nitin Menon during the IPL 2026 final.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Tim David will miss the opening match of IPL 2027 after the BCCI suspended him for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the 2026 final against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

The IPL governing body also fined the Australian batter 50 percent of his match fee and added 2 Demerit Points for a Level 1 offence under Article 2.9. The incident took place during the 10th over of GT’s innings when David aggressively threw an ice pack towards on-field umpire Nitin Menon.
