‘Played Nonstop for 15 Years’: Virat Kohli on His Cricket Career

Virat Kohli expressed his special connection to Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium in Asian Paints event

Virat Kohli has named Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium as a “very special” ground for him. The star batter made these comments at an event in Mumbai.

Kohli has been a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore since the IPL’s first season. He acknowledged receiving warm support at many venues but singled out the RCB home ground for special praise.

“To be very honest, I have received a lot of support in most places I have played in and the fans have been truly amazing. But I think the ground which really stands out for me, of course the Chinnaswamy at Bengaluru. Yeah, that ground will always be very special for me,” stated Kohli at the Asian Paints event.

Virat Kohli’s Upcoming Schedule

The event also served as the announcement of Asian Paints as the Indian cricket team’s colour partner. This three-year partnership is valued at around INR 45 crore.

Kohli was instrumental in RCB’s first title-winning campaign earlier this year. He scored 657 runs in 15 innings during that season and the fans are fired up once again after the retained and released players are announced ahead of IPL auction.

His next competitive cricket will be for India in an ODI series against South Africa. This follows his recent three-match series against Australia, which was his first since the Champions Trophy.
