Mitchell Starc picked 3 wickets in an over to restrict RR’s run flow in DC vs RR IPL 2026 clash.
Mitchell Starc produced a stunning game-changing spell for Delhi Capitals as the Australian pacer picked up three wickets in a single over against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026.
Mitchell Starc once again proved why he remains one of the most dangerous fast bowlers in T20 cricket after delivering a sensational over during the IPL 2026 clash between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Rajasthan Royals looked firmly in control for most parts of their innings after explosive knocks from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and skipper Riyan Parag powered them towards a massive total. However, Starc’s fiery spell completely changed the momentum of the contest in the 15th over.
Mitchell Starc Turns The Momentum In DC’s Favour
RR were cruising at 161/2 when Starc returned for his third over. Riyan Parag, who was batting brilliantly on 51 off 26 balls, attempted to take on the left-arm pacer with a big shot towards long-on. However, Axar Patel produced a superb diving catch to dismiss the RR captain and hand Delhi Capitals a crucial breakthrough.
The drama intensified on the very next ball. Donovan Ferreira walked in looking to attack immediately but failed to connect properly with his shot. Once again, Axar Patel stayed calm under pressure and completed another safe catch to give Starc his second wicket in consecutive deliveries.

Starc then came extremely close to claiming a hat-trick. Although he missed out on the third ball, the Australian pacer did not have to wait long for another scalp. Ravi Singh became Starc’s third wicket of the over after getting trapped lbw by a slower delivery that deceived the batter completely.
The stunning over derailed Rajasthan Royals’ momentum during the death overs. From looking set for a total well beyond 210, RR eventually finished on 193/8 in their 20 overs.
Earlier in the innings, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 46 off just 21 balls, while Dhruv Jurel anchored the innings with 53 from 40 deliveries. Riyan Parag’s explosive 51 off 26 balls had placed RR in a commanding position before Starc’s brilliance shifted the balance.
