Ayush Badoni’s explosive innings came to an unusual end during the ongoing IPL 2026 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings. Ayush Badoni hit 43 runs off just 18 balls before Yuzvendra Chahal and Prabhsimran Singh combined for a smart stumping in the seventh over.

Chahal bowled a short delivery outside off and Badoni missed while attempting a cut shot. Prabhsimran quickly collected the ball and removed the bails before Badoni could place his back foot inside the crease. UltraEdge confirmed there was no bat involved, while replays showed the batter’s foot briefly in the air.
The dismissal ended a dangerous 49-run partnership and handed Punjab a crucial breakthrough.

Meanwhile, in the match, Lucknow Super Giants are in a decent position at 111 for 3 after 11 overs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, batting first after Punjab Kings elected to bowl.
Josh Inglis has been the backbone of the innings, unbeaten on 44 off 26, holding one end together as wickets have tumbled around him. His fellow opener Arshin Kulkarni lasted just one ball, caught off Azmatullah Omarzai for a duck. Nicholas Pooran managed just 2 off 7 before being bowled by Marco Jansen in the third over.

The innings became aggressive when Ayush Badoni arrived. He was simply explosive before being stumped off Yuzvendra Chahal in the seventh over. That wicket brought Rishabh Pant to the crease and he has since added 42 for the fourth wicket. Pant is on 17 off 16, building steadily.
