Following RCB’s five-wicket victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Kohli was seen spending time with Rajasthan Royals prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old was present at the venue and watched the final from the stands alongside several prominent cricket administrators, including Jay Shah, Sourav Ganguly and Rajeev Shukla.
Shortly after the presentation ceremony, television cameras captured Kohli approaching the young batter. The former RCB skipper placed his arm around Sooryavanshi’s shoulder and engaged in a lengthy conversation, a moment that quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

During Rajasthan Royals’ clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Guwahati, the teenage batter impressed with a fearless innings against RCB’s bowling attack. After the game, Kohli signed his cap and handed him an autograph, a gesture that was widely appreciated by fans.
Record-Breaking IPL 2026 Campaign Ends On A High
Even though Rajasthan Royals did not feature in the final, Sooryavanshi emerged as one of the biggest success stories of IPL 2026.
The left-handed batter finished the season with an incredible 776 runs, ending as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. His outstanding performances earned him five major individual honours at the end-of-season awards ceremony
Sooryavanshi also shattered multiple records during the campaign. His tally of 72 sixes established a new IPL record, surpassing the previous benchmark set by Chris Gayle. He additionally became the fastest Indian batter to reach 1,000 IPL runs and overtook Rishabh Pant as the youngest player to achieve the milestone.
