Abhishek Sharma’s unbeaten 135 powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to a dominant 47-run win over Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring IPL 2026 clash.

Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a commanding all-round display to defeat Delhi Capitals by 47 runs in Match 31 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on April 21.

Riding on a sensational unbeaten century from Abhishek Sharma, SRH posted a daunting 242/2 before restricting DC to 195/9 in 20 overs.

After being put in to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a flying start with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head dominating the powerplay. The duo stitched a 97-run opening partnership in just 8.5 overs, setting the tone for a massive total. Head contributed a brisk 37 off 26 balls before falling to Axar Patel.

Abhishek, however, continued his onslaught and brought up his century in just 47 balls. He remained unbeaten on a stunning 135 off 68 deliveries, smashing 10 fours and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 198.52.

Ishan Kishan chipped in with a quick 25 off 13 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen provided the late flourish with an explosive 37* off just 13 balls. SRH finished with a formidable run rate of 12.10, leaving the Delhi bowlers struggling, with Mukesh Kumar and Nitish Rana conceding over 50 runs each.

Delhi Capitals Falter In Chase

In response, Delhi Capitals started aggressively but lost early wickets. Pathum Nissanka departed for 8, while KL Rahul scored a steady 37 off 23 balls. Nitish Rana kept DC in the hunt with a counter-attacking 57 off 30 deliveries, supported by Sameer Rizvi’s 41 off 28. However, regular wickets halted their momentum during the middle overs.
