Akeal Hosein Set To Join West Indies ODI Squad in Bangladesh

West Indies called up spinner Akeal Hosein for the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh after losing the opening match in Dhaka.

West Indies’ left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein is set to feature in the ongoing three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The spinner is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Monday night to join the team ahead of the second ODI after the visitors suffered a 74-run defeat in the opening game.

“Akeal is expected to arrive tonight to join the ODI team,” a BCB official confirmed to Cricbuzz on Monday. Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the inclusion of left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed in their ODI squad for the series against West Indies. The decision followed the first ODI, where spinners dominated on the slow and turning track at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

It has also been learned that Jason Holder will arrive on October 21 to join the squad, as he is expected to feature in the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.
