Australia Cricket team named an unchanged squad for the fifth and final Ashes Test in Sydney.
Australia will enter the fifth and final Ashes Test against England with an unchanged squad. Selectors retained the same 15 players for the match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, starting January 4.
There were suggestions that all-rounder Cameron Green might lose his place after scoring only 112 runs in the first four Tests. However, selectors kept him in the squad alongside struggling number three batter Marnus Labuschagne.
Uncertainty remains over Green’s spot in the final playing eleven. The 26-year-old, who recently secured a high-value IPL contract, could make way for all-rounder Beau Webster in the Sydney Test. Webster made his Test debut at the SCG last year but has not played in this series.
There is also a strong possibility that spinner Todd Murphy will join the playing eleven. It remains unclear which player would be dropped to accommodate him.

Fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland have played all four Tests so far. They are unlikely to rest for the final match with World Test Championship points at stake. Mitchell Neser appears the most likely candidate to be omitted from the final team, though Jhye Richardson could also be left out.
Australia squad for 5th Test: Steve Smith (C), Scott Boland, Alex Carey (WK), Brendan Doggett, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Todd Murphy, Michael Neser, Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Starc, Jake Weatherald, Beau Webster
