Two Australia women cricketers were reportedly followed and harassed by a man while returning to their hotel in Indore on the morning of October 23. The players were returning from a café to the Radisson Blue Hotel, where the squad is staying. This was when a man on a motorcycle followed them and allegedly touched one player inappropriately before fleeing.
The team’s security manager immediately filed a complaint at the M.I.G. Police Station that evening. According to reports from The Times of India, following a review of CCTV footage, local police identified and arrested the suspect, reportedly named Aqeel Khan, a resident of Khajrana, under charges of stalking and outraging modesty. Notably, Aqeel has prior criminal cases.
