Cameron Green is reportedly set to resume bowling for KKR in their IPL 2026 match against LSG after completing his recovery and workload build-up.
Kolkata Knight Riders had signed Cameron Green for Rs 25.50 crore at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16, 2025. However, the 26-year-old played the first 3 matches without bowling. Ajinkya Rahane later confirmed that Cricket Australia had restricted Green’s bowling workload.
KKR failed to defend 220 against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on March 29. Green had bowled in nets before the Sunrisers Hyderabad game, but did not bowl in the match.
A new update has come ahead of KKR’s fourth match against Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Gardens on Thursday. Reports from ESPNCricinfo indicate that Green would resume bowling. Cricket Australia had earlier set a 10-12 day recovery window from March 30 and that period had passed.
Earlier, Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar had also questioned the team’s approach during the season. He felt Green’s role without bowling reduced his overall value. He pointed to the INR 25.20 crore investment and suggested that KKR consider a specialist batter to improve the balance.

Notably, KKR also missed key pacers Harshit Rana, Akash Deep, Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman due to injury and fitness issues.
