CSK’s social media manager pulled off a cheeky dig on Twitter to respond to player release rumors ahead of IP 2026 auctions.

In a characteristically light-hearted manner, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have moved to quell a storm of speculation regarding a significant player overhaul ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. The franchise found itself at the centre of intense online debate after reports suggested they were planning to release five key players, including high-profile names like Sam Curran and Devon Conway.

This news sent shockwaves through their massive fanbase, given CSK’s long-standing reputation for player loyalty and team stability. The mere suggestion of such a drastic clear-out seemed to contradict the franchise’s core identity, prompting widespread concern and discussion across social media platforms.

The rumours, which had gained significant traction, claimed that CSK was considering offloading all-rounder Sam Curran, batter Devon Conway, and Indian domestic stalwarts Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar, and Rahul Tripathi. The inclusion of Curran and Conway was particularly surprising to fans, as both have been instrumental in the team’s recent successes.
