
Chennai Super Kings(CSK) appointed former England wicketkeeper-batter James Foster as fielding coach ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
CSK has added James Foster as fielding coach before the Indian Premier League 2026 season. The former England wicketkeeper-batter is 45 years old. He played 7 Tests, 11 ODIs and 5 T20Is for England between 2001 and 2009.
“Say Yellove to our fielding coach, James Foster! Former England wicketkeeper and a coach with experience across teams worldwide, he now kicks off this new chapter with the Pride,” CSK announced in a social media post.

Foster joins a coaching group led by Stephen Fleming. Michael Hussey continues as batting coach. Eric Simmons handles the bowling unit.

Foster earlier worked with England and New Zealand in coaching roles. He recently won the International League T20 title with Desert Vipers. He also serves as assistant coach of Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.
