Chennai Super Kings are expected to release New Zealand openers Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.
Devon Conway is reportedly set to leave Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2026 season, bringing an end to his three-year stint with the team. Chennai’s underwhelming 2025 campaign has triggered a squad reset, and Rachin Ravindra is also expected to exit as part of the changes.
Conway was signed for ₹6.25 crore at the previous auction, while CSK used the right-to-match option to retain Ravindra for ₹4.25 crore.
Conway scored more than 900 runs for the franchise across three seasons, including a standout IPL 2023 campaign where he crossed 600 runs at an average above 50. His strike rate consistently stayed around the 135 mark. Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra scored over 250 runs and taking 6 wickets in the 2025 season.
Notably, the team restructuring is set to be extensive, with reports indicating that Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar and Jamie Overton are among those expected to be released.
One of the biggest developments involves a major trade, sending Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran to Rajasthan Royals, while Sanju Samson joins CSK as part of the reshuffled core.
