CSK Reveal Retention List and Released Players List Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction

CSK group huddle

Chennai Super Kings(CSK) confirmed their retention list, released, and traded players for the IPL 2026 auction, including bringing in Sanju Samson and letting go of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.

Chennai Super Kings(CSK) confirmed their retention list for IPL 2026, signalling a major shuffle after a difficult 2025 campaign. The five-time champions went through their poorest season last year, finishing last on the table with only 4 wins from 14 matches and collecting just 8 points.

The franchise has now begun reshaping its core ahead of the new season. One of the biggest moves involves Sanju Samson joining CSK for his existing fee of Rs 18 crore. Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran moved to Rajasthan Royals as part of a high-profile trade. Samson is expected to take on a central role in Chennai’s plans as the team looks toward life beyond MS Dhoni.
