Chennai Super Kings have reopened talks with Rajasthan Royals for the Sanju Samson trade, offering Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, but RR are reportedly not satisfied with the deal.
A major IPL trade is reportedly in progress between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, centered around Sanju Samson. Chennai have offered Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in exchange for the Rajasthan skipper.
However, according to The Indian Express, the Royals are not fully convinced with the inclusion of Curran and have instead expressed interest in Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana. Chennai, though, are reluctant to release Pathirana, who is seen as a long-term prospect for the franchise.

Notably, Ravindra Jadeja is reportedly open to leaving Chennai Super Kings after detailed discussions with MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and head coach Stephen Fleming. Following mutual agreement, negotiations between the two teams gained momentum. Rajasthan also initially requested Shivam Dube’s inclusion in the deal, which Chennai rejected. The Royals remain unconvinced with the revised proposal.
Samson, who has been with the Royals for seven years, is keen on a new franchise ahead of the December mini-auction. Jadeja, who last represented Rajasthan in 2009, could be heading back to his first IPL team if the blockbuster trade goes through.
