At 36, Kohli continues to remain one of the fittest players in world cricket, displaying sharp running and energy on the field. While he now focuses solely on ODIs, many believe he will play a vital role in the 2027 World Cup in Africa. Warner went a step further, expressing confidence that Kohli’s fitness could even help him extend his career well beyond that tournament.
“I had not seen Virat Kohli in a fair while, so I just embraced him, gave him a handshake and hug, and just asked how he and the family were going. We spoke a little about cricket, then I told him he looks super fit and can play until he’s 50,” Warner said via Kayosports.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli bounced back to form during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney after two consecutive ducks in the series. He looked composed throughout his innings, remaining unbeaten on 74 as India chased down a 237-run target with ease. Kohli is now set to feature in the upcoming three-match home series against South Africa, beginning on November 30.
