Jofra Archer features in the provisional T20 World Cup squad despite recovering from a left side strain. Josh Tongue also earns selection, marking his first involvement in international limited-overs squads. Jamie Smith misses out after an unsuccessful run as an opener. Ben Duckett returns after missing the New Zealand T20Is. Will Jacks rejoins both squads, while Zak Crawley makes his ODI comeback after last featuring in 2023. Jordan Cox and Saqib Mahmood remain unavailable due to injury.
England will not rest Test players despite a short turnaround from the Ashes. The squad departs for Sri Lanka on January 18.
