India all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus shared a funny moment during their Group A match of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
Erasmus bowled a low full toss to Shivam Dube after dismissing Tilak Varma on the previous ball. Dube knocked the ball towards the left of the bowler and set off for a quick run. Erasmus dived to stop it and hit Hardik at the non-striker’s end.

Hardik fell over the Namibia skipper during the collision. Erasmus even did a few playful push-ups with Hardik on his back, drawing laughter from the crowd. Both players quickly got up smiling.

In the match, Hardik Pandya and Gerhard Erasmus delivered standout performances. India posted 209/9 in 20 overs after choosing to bat first. Ishan Kishan smashed 61 off 24 balls and reached his 50 in just 20 deliveries. Pandya scored 52 off 28 balls and added 81 runs for the fifth wicket with Shivam Dube, who made 23 off 16 balls. For Namibia, Erasmus returned 4/20 in four overs.
At the time of writing, Namibia are 59/1 and need 151 from 81 balls to win.
