In the ongoing match against Sri Lanka, Harry Brook scored 136 off 66 balls and celebrated his 57-ball century with a Stone Cold Steve Austin-style beer smash.

England ODI captain Harry Brook grabbed attention during the ongoing third ODI against Sri Lanka with both bat and his beer-smash celebration. The match is taking place at the R. Premadasa Stadium on January 27.

Brook smashed an unbeaten 136 runs from 66 balls. His innings included 11 fours and 9 sixes. The right-handed batter reached his century in only 57 balls. He brought up the hundred by hitting Jeffrey Vandersay for a boundary on the first ball of the 49th over.

After reaching the century, Harry Brook’s celebration quickly went viral online. He removed his gloves and joined his fists together in the air. This imitated the famous beer smash celebration made popular by WWE star Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In the match, England have built their innings around strong efforts from Harry Brook and Joe Root. Brook hit 11 fours and 9 sixes. Root provided support with an unbeaten 111 from 108 balls, which included 9 fours and 1 six. Jacob Bethell also made a useful 65 from 72 balls. Sri Lanka’s bowlers took three wickets, one each.

This match is the decider in the series after both teams won one game. Sri Lanka won the first ODI by 19 runs. England bounced back in the second ODI with a five-wicket win while chasing 220. After this leg, the teams will now play three T20Is on January 30, February 1 and February 3.
