South Africa delivered a dominant performance to defeat India by 76 runs in the 43rd Match of the Super Eights, Group 1, at Ahmedabad in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on February 22, 2026.
After early setbacks, South Africa recovered superbly to post a commanding 187/7 in their 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah struck twice in the powerplay, removing Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton, while Arshdeep Singh dismissed captain Aiden Markram to leave South Africa reeling at 12/2 and later 20/3.

Miller then took charge, smashing 63 off just 35 deliveries at a strike rate of 180.00, including seven boundaries and three sixes. His half-century came off just 26 balls and shifted the momentum firmly in South Africa’s favour.

Suryakumar Yadav managed 18, while Washington Sundar and Hardik Pandya failed to build partnerships. Shivam Dube offered some resistance with a fighting 42 off 37 balls, but he lacked support from the other end.
