India’s Dominant Victory In World Cup
India’s form throughout the tournament was exceptional, as they reached the final without suffering a single defeat. While they dominated most matches, their best performance came in the summit clash against England Under-19.
Batting first in the final, India lost opener Aaron George early. However, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre steadied the innings with a crucial partnership that shifted momentum firmly in India’s favour. Even after Mhatre’s dismissal, Suryavanshi continued his attacking display, receiving valuable support from the rest of the batting line-up. India eventually posted a massive total of 411 runs.
While defending the total, England showed resistance. Their top order provided a solid start, and Caleb Falconer’s outstanding knock of 115 runs off just 65 balls kept England in the contest. However, the Indian bowlers held their nerve and closed out the match, sealing a commanding 100-run victory to clinch the title in emphatic fashion.
