In response, Gujarat Titans got off to a steady start despite losing Sai Sudharsan early for 15. Skipper Shubman Gill anchored the innings with a composed 56 off 40 balls, stitching a crucial 84-run partnership with Jos Buttler.

Buttler was the aggressor, smashing 60 off just 37 balls, including 11 boundaries, to put GT firmly in control of the chase.

After their dismissals at 129/2 and 135/3 respectively, Washington Sundar (21* off 13) and Rahul Tewatia (10* off 8) ensured there were no further hiccups, calmly guiding the team home.

For LSG, Digvesh Rathi, Prince Yadav, and Mohammed Shami picked up a wicket each, but the total proved insufficient against GT’s strong batting lineup.
