IPL 2026 | King Kohli Conquers Again! Royal Challengers Bengaluru Win IPL for Second Straight Year

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win the IPL 2026 title, with Virat Kohli smashing an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls in the final at Ahmedabad.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru scripted history on Sunday, winning the IPL 2026 title with a commanding 5-wicket victory(12 balls left) over Gujarat Titans in a thrilling final. Chasing 156, RCB romped home at 161/5 in just 18 overs and the architect of it all was the irreplaceable Virat Kohli, unbeaten on 75 off 42 balls, with 9 fours and 3 sixes.

Venkatesh Iyer gave RCB a quick start, smashing 32 off 16 balls before falling to Mohammed Siraj. Wickets fell in the middle, with Rashid Khan striking twice to keep GT in the hunt, but Kohli stood tall throughout, never once looking rattled. Tim David chipped in with a valuable 24, and with Jitesh Sharma alongside him in the final overs, Kohli sealed the chase in style with 12 balls to spare.

Earlier, GT were restricted to 155/8 thanks to a disciplined RCB bowling effort. Washington Sundar was GT’s sole resistance with a gutsy 50 off 37 balls, holding the innings together as wickets crumbled around him. Rasikh Salam Dar was the pick of the RCB bowlers, finishing with 3 wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood claimed 2 each.
