After being put in to bat, RCB produced a batting masterclass, finishing at a daunting 240/4 in 20 overs. The foundation was laid by Phil Salt, who smashed 78 off just 36 balls, laced with six fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 216.66. He shared a blistering opening stand with Virat Kohli, who anchored the innings with a steady 50 off 38 deliveries.
The momentum was further accelerated by skipper Rajat Patidar, who played a sensational knock of 53 off only 20 balls, striking at 265.00 with four boundaries and five sixes.
Tim David provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten 34 off 16 balls, while Jitesh Sharma chipped in with 10. RCB’s aggressive approach ensured a run rate of 12.00, putting immense pressure on Mumbai Indians.

Chasing 241, Mumbai Indians got off to a quick start, reaching 57 without loss before Rohit Sharma retired hurt after scoring 19 off 13 balls. Ryan Rickelton added 37 off 22, while Suryakumar Yadav contributed 33 off 22. However, regular wickets halted their momentum.
Captain Hardik Pandya tried to keep the chase alive with a brisk 40 off 22 balls, but his dismissal at 145/4 in 14.4 overs tilted the game in RCB’s favor. Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir failed to make an impact, managing just 1 run each.
Sherfane Rutherford produced a stunning late assault, remaining unbeaten on 71 off 31 balls, smashing nine sixes at a strike rate of 229.03. Alongside Mitchell Santner (8*), he pushed MI to 222/5 in 20 overs, but the target proved just out of reach.
RCB’s bowlers held their nerve despite the onslaught. Suyash Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/47, while Krunal Pandya, Rasikh Salam, and Jacob Duffy chipped in with a wicket each.
