IPL 2026 | David Miller Muscles DC’s Chase To Pull Off A Thriller Win Against RCB

Tristan Stubbs’ unbeaten fifty and David Miller’s late blitz powered Delhi Capitals to a last-over win against RCB.

Delhi Capitals held their nerve in a tense chase to defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by six wickets with one ball to spare in Match 26 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Chasing 176, Delhi got off to a shaky start, losing early wickets including Pathum Nissanka and Karun Nair cheaply.

However, KL Rahul steadied the innings with a fluent 57 off 34 balls, striking six fours and two sixes. His aggressive intent kept the required rate in check, but his dismissal at 87/4 gave RCB a window to fight back.

That’s when Tristan Stubbs and David Miller took charge and turned the game decisively in Delhi’s favour. Stubbs played the anchor role to perfection, finishing unbeaten on 60 off 47 deliveries. He paced his innings smartly, absorbing pressure during the middle overs before accelerating at the right time.

David Miller, Stubbs Steer DC’s Chase

Miller, on the other hand, provided the late fireworks that sealed the chase. The left-hander smashed an unbeaten 22 off just 10 balls, including a boundary and two towering sixes. His clean hitting in the death overs ensured Delhi crossed the finish line at 179/4 in 19.5 overs.

Earlier, RCB posted a competitive 175/8 after being asked to bat. Phil Salt led the charge with an impressive 63 off 38 balls, while Tim David added a quick 26. Contributions from Virat Kohli (19) and others helped maintain momentum, but regular wickets prevented them from reaching a bigger total.

For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel were the standout bowlers, picking up two wickets each and keeping things tight in the middle overs.
