WATCH | KL Rahul Shows Quick Reflexes With Lightning Fast Stumping In CSK vs DC Match

South Africa Spinner Slams BCCI Power With ‘ICC Control’ Blame; Backs South Africa’s WTC Title

KL Rahul made a stunning stump dismissal during the CSK vs DC clash in IPL 2026.

The Delhi Capitals were tasked with defending a modest total of 155 against the Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 5. While Chennai had already lost their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad early, they soon suffered another setback with the dismissal of Urvil Patel, thanks to a sharp stumping effort behind the wickets.

Urvil had earlier shown promise with a few aggressive strokes, even surviving a close chance when Ashutosh Sharma sprinted from deep midwicket towards long-on but failed to reach the ball. However, his innings was cut short in the following over.

In the seventh over, Axar Patel bowled a short delivery that spun past the outside edge as Urvil attempted an ambitious shot down the ground with his feet slightly off the crease. Wicketkeeper KL Rahul reacted instantly, collecting the ball cleanly and dislodging the bails in just 0.24 seconds to complete a brilliant stumping.

At the time of writing, Chennai Super Kings are keeping themselves firmly in the hunt while chasing 155 against Delhi Capitals, reaching 124/2 in 14.5 overs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

CSK Strongly Lead The Chase

With 30 runs needed off the final 30 balls, the equation is finely balanced, though CSK hold the advantage with set batter Sanju Samson leading the charge. The wicketkeeper-batter has played a commanding knock, remaining unbeaten on 77 off 46 balls, striking six fours and six sixes at an impressive strike rate.

Earlier in the chase, CSK lost skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad cheaply, while Urvil Patel provided a quick cameo before falling.

However, Samson stitched a crucial 79-run stand with Kartik Sharma to steady the innings and bring CSK within touching distance of the target. For Delhi, Axar Patel and Lungi Ngidi picked up a wicket each, but the game now hinges on whether they can break Samson’s resistance in the closing overs.
