Krunal Pandya delivered multiple bouncers in the same over with a sidearm bowling action that left batters confused on the crease in the RCB vs SRH clash.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Krunal Pandya once again stunned the cricket world with his unconventional bowling tactics during RCB’s high-scoring IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
While SRH piled up a massive 255/4 in 20 overs, one of the most discussed moments of the contest came when Krunal repeatedly attacked Travis Head and Ishan Kishan with sharp short-pitched deliveries despite being a left-arm spinner.
The unusual tactic immediately grabbed attention online, with clips of Krunal’s hostile bouncers going viral across social media platforms.
Krunal Pandya’s Surprise Tactic Shocks SRH Batters
Traditionally known for darting the ball into the surface with flatter deliveries, Krunal completely changed gears during his spell against SRH’s explosive batting lineup.
Bowling at surprising pace variations close to 100 km/h, Krunal unleashed aggressive short balls at both Travis Head and Ishan Kishan. The deliveries rushed onto the batters far quicker than expected and forced awkward reactions from two of SRH’s most dangerous stroke-makers.
The tactic looked even more dramatic because modern T20 cricket rarely witnesses finger spinners consistently bowling bouncers to attacking batters.

Head, who smashed 26 off 16 balls before falling to Rasikh Salam, was visibly hurried by Krunal’s sharp bumper strategy during the powerplay phase. Kishan, despite scoring a brilliant 79 off 46 balls, also looked briefly uncomfortable against the sudden short-ball assault.
Within minutes of the match, videos of Krunal’s aggressive bouncers flooded social media, with fans praising the RCB spinner for bringing a fresh tactical dimension into T20 bowling.
His unique two-step gather and low-arm release generated awkward bounce, making it difficult for batters to line up big shots cleanly.
SRH Still Post Mammoth Total Despite Krunal’s Effort
Despite Krunal’s creative spell, Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their batting carnage throughout the innings.
Abhishek Sharma blasted 56 off just 22 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen hammered 51 from 24 deliveries. Ishan Kishan anchored the innings superbly with an unbeaten 79 as SRH finished with a gigantic 255/4.
Krunal eventually emerged as one of RCB’s better performers with the ball, returning figures of 1/24 in his two overs, including the important wicket of Klaasen.
