Rajat Patidar reacted to the massive cheers during RR vs RCB IPL 2026 toss in Guwahati, calling the atmosphere similar to a home ground.
In the ongoing RR vs RCB IPL 2026 match, RR skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to bowl against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Guwahati.
Even though this was an away game for RCB, just when captain Rajat Patidar was about to speak with presenter Ian Bishop, the crowd noise surged across the stadium. The cheers for RCB grew so loud that hearing became difficult on the field.

Ian Bishop pointed out the unusual support and asked Patidar about playing away from home with such backing. The RCB skipper thanked the fans and said the cheers made it feel like it was RCB’s home ground.
“How does it make you feel, playing away from home with such cheering?” Ian Bishop asked.
“Thanks to everyone. I think you are making us feel like it is our home ground,” replied the RCB skipper.

In the match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 201/8 in 20 overs. Captain Rajat Patidar anchored the innings with 63 off 40 balls after a top-order collapse. Virat Kohli fell early to Ravi Bishnoi. Impact substitute Venkatesh Iyer boosted the total with an unbeaten 30 off 9 balls. He struck 4, 6 and 6 in the final over to push the score past 200. RR now faces a steep target of 202.
