Match Officials Announced for T20 World Cup 2026 Group Stage

The ICC has announced match officials for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 group stage, starting February 7.

The ICC has finalised match officials for the group stage of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. A total of 24 umpires will take charge on the field, while six officials will serve as match referees. Officials for the Super Eight and knockout rounds will be named later.

The opening match between Pakistan and the Netherlands will take place at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Kumar Dharmasena and Wayne Knights will officiate the contest as on-field umpires.

In Kolkata, Nitin Menon and Sam Nogajski will umpire the Group C match between Scotland and the West Indies.

Later on February 7 in Mumbai, Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker will stand in the India vs. USA match. Tucker leads all officials with 46 T20 World Cup matches and will reach 50 during this tournament.

Chris Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth will officiate Australia vs. Ireland on February 11. Illingworth and Kumar Dharmasena will handle the much awaited India vs. Pakistan match in Colombo on February 15.
