Michael Vaughan Predicts 3-1 Ashes Win for Australia in 2025-26 Series

Michael Vaughan predicted that Australia will defeat England 3-1 in the 2025-26 Ashes series starting November 21.

The 2025-26 Ashes series is set to begin on November 21 in Perth, marking the start of five Tests between Australia and England. The remaining matches will be held in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan predicted a 3-1 win for Australia ahead of the contest. In their last Ashes trip to Australia from December 2021 to January 2022, England lost four matches under Joe Root’s leadership, managing only one draw in Sydney.

“Prediction… Australia, just by 3-1,” Vaughan said on the Stick To Cricket podcast.

Reflecting on Ashes memories, Michael Vaughan named Ben Stokes’ iconic 135-run innings at Headingley in 2019 as his standout moment. Vaughan also picked Ian Botham as his Ashes cult hero.

Meanwhile, England’s last Test win in Australia came in 2011, when they defeated the hosts by an innings and 83 runs in Sydney to seal the Ashes 3-1 under Andrew Strauss. Since then, England have endured a poor run, losing 13 of their last 15 Tests in Australia, with only two draws.
