Mitchell Marsh’s 111 Takes LSG To Thrilling 9-Run Win Over RCB In IPL 2026

Mitchell Marsh starred with a 56-ball 111 while Prince Yadav picked up three wickets as LSG won over RCB in a high-scoring IPL 2026 match.

There are evenings at the Ekana when the crowd gets exactly what it pays for. Thursday was one of those nights with Mitchell Marsh single-handedly setting the Lucknow sky on fire. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by nine runs in a high-scoring IPL 2026 match.

Marsh led the charge with a sensational 111 off 56 balls, hammering nine fours and nine sixes to take LSG to 209/3 in 20 overs. The Australian all-rounder dominated the RCB attack from the outset and stitched together a 95-run opening partnership before adding another 70 runs with Nicholas Pooran.

RCB struggled to contain Marsh, who attacked both pace and spin with ease before eventually falling to Josh Hazlewood in the 17th over. By then, the damage had already been done. Captain Rishabh Pant provided the finishing touches with a rapid 32 off 10 deliveries, ensuring LSG crossed the 200-run mark comfortably.

In reply, RCB suffered an early setback when Virat Kohli was bowled for a duck in the second over, leaving the visitors reeling at 9/2.

However, skipper Rajat Patidar launched a counterattack with 61 off 31 balls, including six sixes, to revive the chase. Tim David also played a crucial hand with a quickfire 40.

Despite the late surge, LSG held their nerve with the ball. Young pacer Prince Yadav emerged as the standout performer, returning figures of 3/33 in four overs. RCB eventually finished at 203/6, falling short by nine runs(DLS method) in one of the most entertaining matches of the season.
